Tarnish resistant 14k Gold Filled with a soft gold hue, not brassy or yellow. 14k and 18k Gold Filled is a thick layer of gold which is mechanically bonded to a base of solid 925 Sterling Silver or copper. These pieces are ideal for daily wear. I like the look, but the backing is extremely tight on the earring post. Difficult to put on/take off without digging into my fingers. Pro: highly unlikely to fall off. Con: hard to change earrings, I find I am bending the earring post very easily when I change it because of the force required to remove the backing and am worried about losing the integrity of the gold colour.
